Connecting the Coax Cable (if applicable)
With the HPNA card, the AT-iMGxx6MOD allows PCs, Set Top Boxes, VCRs, etc. to become members of
an ethernet subnet over the coax network that is already installed. Figure 24 shows an example. The coax-to-
ethernet converter can be purchased as ATI Part Number AT-iMG007.

To connect the coax cable, perform the following procedure:
1. Connect the coax cable to the HPNA card, as shown in Figure 25
Coaxial cable screen shield needs to be connected to the earth at the building entrance per ANSI/
NFPA 70, the National Electrical Code (NEC), in particular Section 820.93, Grounding of Outer
Conductive Shield of a Coaxial Cable or in accordance with local regulation.
