28 Chapter 4: Installing the Gateway Indoors

Preparing for the Installation

To prepare for the installation, perform the following procedure:

1. Remove all components from the shipping package.

Note

Store the packaging material in a safe location. You must use the original shipping material if you need

to return the unit to Allied Telesis.

2. Ensure that the following components are included in the gateway package. If any item is missing or

damaged, contact your Allied Telesis sales representative for assistance.

 AT-iMGxx6MOD chassis (LAN and WAN cards are already installed)

 This Installation Guide

 Accessory Kit that includes:

– 6-pin DC terminal block

– 2 #8-32 SEMS pan head Phillips screws (used for mounting the grounding

stud and attaching the electronics unit to the wall mount bracket)

3. Ensure you have the indoor mounting kit (AT-iMGMOD-MTG-BRKT). This kit includes the bracket and 3

screws to attach the iMG to the bracket.

Note

You will need screws to attach the unit to the plywood. These are not provided by ATI.
