NS Offload

The NS (Neighbor Solicitation) Offload feature, one of the network power

management features, allows the adapter to respond to a Neighbor

Solicitation request without waking up the computer.

To enable or disable the NS Offload feature, do the following:

1. Access the Advanced Properties.

See “Accessing Advanced Properties” on page 43.

2. Select NS Offload in the Property box.

The NS Offload page is displayed as shown in Figure 29.

3. Select one of the following options:

 Disable— The computer wakes up from sleep mode and responds

to an NS request.

 Enable— The adapter responds to a Neighbor Solicitation request

without waking up the computer. This is the default setting.

4. Click OK.
