8802-3. The AT-1700T is for use with 10BASE-T segments, using

an 8-wire (4-pair) RJ45 jack for the network cable, shown in

Figure 1.

Important 10BASE-T Cable Considerations

A serious problem exists concerning identification of modular

cable. There are various grades of voice-quality and data-quality

cables available. These can appear to be similar externally, and

their DC characteristics are also similar, although their AC

characteristics, and therefore high-speed data transmission

characteristics, are radically different.
